Let's be honest, swiss watchmaking industry realized that the real deal is not sale a watch but the aftersale service! Is not true that only Patek watchmaker now how to service a patek! You guys charge thousands of dollars/euros/marks for a few hours job! This is the real business!

I’m almost certain even the toilet paper in the stalls are automatically dispensed to a fine tolerance. Really? Using a automated machine which lifts and dips 10x watch cases for cleaning. Wozu denn die ganze Uhr zum ölen auseinander bauen? Da erhitze ich einen Becher gutes Getriebeöl von Mercedes-Benz, und tunke die komplette Uhr zwei-dreimal dort hinein. So stellt man nämlich sicher, daß auch alle Bauteile der Uhr gleichmäßig geschmiert werden. Und was für einen Mercedes gut ist, kann ja für so eine Patek Philippe ja nicht schlecht sein! So spart man auch viel Geld für eine teure Revision ☝. ( Ok, da ist jetzt 'n bissi Öl unters Glas gekommen, weil diese Patek Uhren im Allgemeinen nicht richtig öldicht sind, aber man hat sich schon an den Anblick gewöhnt, und da macht man sich ja schließlich auch nicht ins Miederhöschen für).

Amazing micro engineering, definitely not something many can master, definitely understand why the price for this marvel.

Believe it or not. I have heard and seen elderly people who were born in the days of World War I, almost. They say and wear West End watches that they are better than Patek Philippe and Rolex in terms of timekeeping, performance, durability and cheap price.

It’s just a watch, not to tell time but to tell others how wealthy you are. Still though, just a watch. No matter how much effort and useless words one throws at it to make it more valuable… just a watch. And it tells time badly in comparison to quartz.

But, yes, there is added piece of mind... la-la-la... Also, I saw some idiot in the comments below say that $28,000 for an entry-level watch 'really isn't all that much money'... what a self-absored moron, LOL.
